A "RAIL"certified small controller records electrical signals (for example, status and condition messages, alarms and measured values) from the vehicle (remote I/Os, CAN-BUS or Ethernet). These signals are processed and transmitted to the land-side diagnostic computer using the telecontrol protocol IEC 60870-5-104. There, the received data is accepted by the driver, archived, logged and displayed in the browser-based SCADA client application. An e-mail message is sent to specifiable recipients for incoming and outgoing diagnostic messages. Value changes are published to an MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) broker.
